SACRIVERSUM
Polish melodic death metal band founded in 1992. Initially representing a more thrash version of death metal, but with the addition of a keyboardist to the three-person lineup - playing in a style combining typical death metal riffs with doom, atmospheric fragments. The debut album of the band was "The Shadow of the Golden Fire" released in 1994. Soon, female vocals appeared in the band, and their style began to drift towards gothic metal. The six-piece band recorded subsequent albums: "Soteria" (1998), "Beckettia" (2000), "Mozartia" (2003), "Sigma Draconis" (2004). However, in 2005 the band announced the suspension of its activities. Seventeen years later the idea of reactivating the band came up - but in the style of their first album, without female vocals. The reactivation concert was attended by two members of the early band: Remigiusz "Remo" Mielczarek (bass, voc) and Krzysztof "Baran" Baranowicz (keys). Also appeared and co-created the reborn Sacriversum: Krystian "MacKozer" Kozerawski (g. - guitarist of the band on the albums "Mozartia" and "Sigma Draconis") and Jan "Trocin" Traciński – drums. In 2026, a second guitarist joined the band—Olaf “Olaffson” Kozerawski, MacKozer's son. The band has just signed a record deal with German label Fireflash Rec. The release of Saciversum's next album, “Before The Birth of Light,” is scheduled for May 8, 2026.
