“The story behind the song is pretty complex. It’s about that ‘darkest hour’ when you finally admit to yourself that things went too far a long time ago, and no amount of fighting is going to bring that past back. It could be about relationships, serious illness, death, you name it. In the end, it’s up to the listener which perspective eases their mind the most.”
