Ten bastard years.
When we started this band we'd have taken ten months. Ten years later we're still here, still horrible, and still somehow being let into venues. That's down to you lot.
We've been calling this year Ten Bastard Years of Swamp Coffin, and the more we celebrated it the more it felt wrong to do the whole thing looking backwards. The Bastard Club has carried this band through everything - every gig, every record, every rough patch - and you deserved more than us reminding you of songs you already own. You deserved something new.
So here it is. 'Everything Is Nothing' is the most intense and furious thing we've ever put our names to. It's not a victory lap and it isn't nostalgic. It's the sound of three blokes who are angrier now than we were a decade ago, which probably says something about us and definitely says something about the last ten years.
There's a new album on the way. More than likely early next year. We couldn't get to ten years together without putting some new music into the world first, and this is where it starts.
We'll be taking it with us on tour this Summer, culminating at Damnation Festival in Manchester in November. Come and join the World's Slowest Wall Of Death with us.
