Lyrics
Oh, life is bigger
Bigger than you, and you are not me
The lengths that I will go to
The distance in your eyes
Oh no, I've said too much
I set it up

That's me in the corner
That's me in the spotlight, losing my religion
Trying to keep up with you
And I don't know if I can do it

Oh no, I've said too much
I haven't said enough

I thought that I heard you laughing
I thought that I heard you sing
I think I thought I saw you try

Every whisper, of every waking hour
I'm choosing my confessions
Trying to keep an eye on you
Like a hurt, lost and blinded fool, fool
Oh no, I've said too much
I set it up

I thought that I heard you laughing
I thought that I heard you sing
I think I thought I saw you try

I thought that I heard you lying
I thought that I heard you scream
I think I thought I saw you try

Consider this, the hint of the century
Consider this, the slip
I thought that I heard you laughing
But that was just a dream

I thought that I heard you laughing
I thought that I heard you sing
I think I thought I saw you try

I thought that I heard you lying
I thought that I heard you scream

I think I thought I saw you
Think I thought I saw you
Think I thought I saw you try

About O.N.I
Before O.N.I became a statement of intent, ONI began as a pursuit of purpose.
Across its earlier chapters, the project entered the world dressed in demonic imagery, shifting sounds, and a series of visual identities - always searching for the right shape, but not always rooted in the person at its core. There was ambition, heaviness, experimentation, and spectacle, but beneath it all was an artist still trying to figure out what he actually wanted to say.
Now, O.N.I returns with a sharper purpose. This is not a reinvention for the sake of reinvention, but a shedding of skin; a move away from borrowed darkness and towards something more personal, vulnerable, and true to Jake Olde himself. The new era of O.N.I is not about hiding behind an image. It is about using heavy music to tell the truth.
