'Branded' first appeared on the band's 3rd studio album 'Scarred For Life', released in October 1982. The track was then released in February 1983 as the album's second official single.

Another International rock anthem on the album, 'We Can't Be Beaten', successfully launched them onto a major 1982 US tour supporting heavyweights like Aerosmith and ZZ Top.
