Written, recorded, mixed, mastered, and independently released, Refoulement explores themes of displacement, identity, and the human cost of forced migration. Inspired by the principle of "refoulement" in international law, the song reflects on the experiences of those forced from their homes and the search for safety and belonging.
Ashen Skies is a self-produced modern metal project featuring remote collaboration between the UK and Australia.
