Kickhunter have stood for honest, handcrafted hard rock since the year 2000. The band, led by vocalist Jörg “J.C.” Wesenberg alongside guitarists Roland Feldmann, Gerd Lehmkuhl and Stefan Aurel, bassist Marcus Zeroe, drummer Karsten Kreppert and Hammond player Ansas Strehlow, combines classic hard rock with plenty of barroom charm, rock’n’roll attitude and Southern rock influences. Inspired by smoky biker bars, BBQs with friends and family, and long nights somewhere between Tennessee whiskey and neon lights, the seven-piece band has developed its very own sound over the years.
With albums such as Hearts & Bones (2003),Little Monsters( 2007), All In (2010), Now Or Never (2023) and Greatest Kicks (2024), Kickhunter have earned themselves a solid place in the rock scene. Now the seven guys are releasing the first single from their upcoming new album, which will be released in November:“On a Wire”! The song is a high-energy homage to the glory days of AC/DC and Def Leppard packed with driving guitars, catchy hooks and exactly the kind of chorus that sticks in your head instantly.
“As musicians, you’re always huge music fans as well. That’s why it feels only natural not to hide the influences of our favorite bands,” the band explains about the spirit behind the new single.
