BOKASSAs new single "Doesn't Matter If You Love It Here" is out everywhere NOW on the bands own label Kings Of Stonerpunk Records.
BOKASSA are back in style on brand new single 'Doesn’t Matter If You Love It Here'. The song is a melodic stoner rock banger with a metallic edge and a desert vibe, perfect for a long road trip, a chill day in the sun, or even ready to rage on a Friday night. Never afraid to break new ground, the track offers a different side to the band vocally whilst still filled with air guitar-friendly riffs and an ear worm of a chorus.
The song is produced, engineered, and mixed by 2x Grammy winner Adrian Bushby (Foo Fighters, Muse, The Darkness) and mastered by George Perks (Don Broco, Enter Shikari). It was recorded in England's Otterhead Studios in March 2026.
To coincide with the single release the band is going on summer tours with Clutch and Lagwagon in Spain, France and Germany. The band will also be performing at select festival dates in Norway this summer.

Not one to be bothered by trends, masks, matching outfits or whatever else that seems to be popular,Norway's Bokassa aim to please themselves more than anything. Still they've managed to try deep
fried pizza in Scotland, cheese fondue in the Alps, several different sorts of soda and also play someof the world's biggest festivals, tour all over Europe, UK and Scandinavia, and support acts such as
Judas Priest, Clutch and Mastodon, to name a few. And of course Metallica. In 2019 they were pickedfrom complete obscurity by Lars Ulrich to support Metallica on stadiums all over EU, UK and Russia. Ulrich hailed them as "his favourite new band" and described them as "Insanely fucking cool" after hearing the trios first album Divide & Conquer.
Since then they’ve been nominated for a Norwegian Grammy (and lost), won the prestigious
Bendiksenprisen from their fellow Norwegian musicians, for their excellent live performances, and
released three more albums.“Count on Bokassa to keep serving up absolute bangers” Kerrang's Sam Law wrote in his review of their newest, 2024s “All Out of Dreams”. The record sees the band further expand their self patented brand of stoner punk into a hook‑laden Molotov Rocktail of punk, hardcore,metal, and rock, or as Knotfest put it “This album is a testament to the band's knack for creating
anthems that are both rebellious and catchy.”
