Following the release of “MUTILATED MIND”, Burial Ruthless returns with “DEMONS WITHIN”, the first single from the band’s debut album HELD BY EVIL.
Built through years of composition, conceptual development and independent production, HELD BY EVIL represents the band’s darkest and most ambitious work to date — a conceptual journey through psychological collapse, internal corruption and the systems that dominate the human mind.
Blending technical aggression, relentless groove and the oppressive essence of extreme death metal, “DEMONS WITHIN” explores the internal war between fear, paranoia and the invisible forces growing within the individual mind.

I feel their claws tearing my skin,
Too late to escape, no way to win.
Whispers of madness, a mind set ablaze,
Darkness expands, chaos invades.
In every thought, a specter hides,
Beneath my flesh, the demons rise.
Their voices pierce what little remains,
Feeding on sorrow, my body in chains.
Hollow eyes watching, watching my pain,
I'm just an echo in their endless domain.
Demons within, they’re taking control,
Roaring from inside, I’m losing my soul.
A prisoner inside, their voice is my fear,
Falling once again, trapped in despair.
A tortured mind, the battle won’t cease,
Every step is a scream, every dream a release.
No peace, no shelter, trust in the storm,
The demons are singing, my soul is torn.
Demons within, they’re taking control,
Roaring from inside, I’m losing my soul.
A prisoner inside, their voice is my fear,
Falling once again, trapped in despair.
Silence is shattered by distant cries,
Shadows keep dancing in hollow disguise.
I try to run, but the ground drags me down,
My veins are burning, my sanity drowns.
Walls made of flesh, a maze with no end,
Roots made of fear, my will starts to bend.
Their voices are calling, pulling me under,
I turn into ashes consumed by their hunger.
Demons within, whispers so vile,
Dragging me deeper, bound and defiled.
A final scream, an echo that dies,
No way back… my soul says goodbye.
The void embraces what’s left of me,
Drowning in darkness, no light to see.
A silent curse carved into my skin,
I fade away… as they settle within.

The song portrays the mind as a prison of flesh and memory consumed by psychological warfare and distorted thoughts evolving beyond control.
