Suffering

Things Seen But Always Hidden

Every step has led you here. You tried to escape what lurks within, but it’s always waiting—unseen, inescapable. At last, you turn toward the crimson door.

Formed in 2012 in the UK’s West Midlands, Suffering craft occult black metal steeped in doom and violence. Following their 2018 debut 11 and two EPs, they return with their second full-length, Things Seen But Always Hidden, via Apocalyptic Witchcraft.

The album is a seamless descent into dread and madness—where haunting atmospheres, crushing riffs, and ritualistic intensity blur reality. From ‘The House With The Red Door’ to ‘Behind The Green Door’, each track deepens the journey into darkness, dissolution, and transformation.

“Things are not always what they seem—and some truths are right in front of you.”

Things Seen But Always Hidden was released on splatter vinyl as part of Record Store Day and limited to 100 copies.
