This song is inspired by the true history of Malta during World War II, the most bombed place on Earth at the time, where relentless aerial attacks rained destruction in an attempt to break the island’s spirit.
At its core lies one of Malta’s most powerful wartime moments: the Miracle of the Mosta Dome. In 1942, a bomb fell through the church’s massive dome and landed among hundreds of civilians seeking shelter, yet it did not explode. By many believing to be a miracle, every single person inside survived.

Underneath a fiery sky,
the island holds its breath,
Streets turned to ash,
but hearts refuse to rest.
Iron rains from thunderous clouds,
a brutal, endless storm,
Yet through smoke and shattered walls,
a spirit is reborn.
Through the holy dome it fell,
a serpent forged in flame,
The crowd stood frozen,
hearts and prayers aflame.
Steel pierced the air,
then silence shook the ground.
The hand of fate was stayed,
and faith stood battle-bound.
