We are distracted through appeals to our own fears, prejudices and vanity via media, social media and the internet and like narcissus and his reflection we remain entranced, looking into this deceptive vision ignorant to our own decline.

The denoument of the song points to the trajectory of history where this pattern ends in these prophets of falsehood being dragged through the streets in fisgrace and ruin. Whether to the guillotine or the gallows it matters not - the cycle is inevitable."
