Trail of Pain is the new single from modern progressive metal band Fractal Sun. Blending cinematic athmosphere, 8-string guitars and powerful clean and harsh vocals, this track marks the beginning of the main character's descent in our conceptual sci-fi universe.
As part of an upcoming concept album, Trail of Pain explores the fragile line between light and darkness, and how a single thing going wrong can push you into a dark path. This is a journey full of dynamic contrasts, combining symphonic elements, orchestral textures and modern heaviness.
This track now finds its lighter counterpart in "Trail of Hope", the previous Fractal Sun single. Together, both songs reveal two opposing paths within the same conceptual universe.
