SPIRITUAL DECEPTION

Spiritual Deception is an atmospheric/brutal/technical death metal band, active since 2016. Since its birth, the band produced 3 EPs - Spiritual Deception (2018), Etemenanki (2019) and Oxymoron (2021) - and one full lenght record, Semitae Mentis (2024).

With the latest EP, Oxymoron (October 2021), the band gained further visibility and aroused the attention of the underground scene, creating huge expectations for the first full-length record. As Metal Injection states: ‘There’s a lot to enjoy within Spiritual Deception – Oxymoron, and I’m excited to hear what they come up with for their debut album.’ 

Semitae Mentis premiered on Decibel Magazine on 8th February 2024; 'The Italian band isn’t afraid to keep it weird with this record, chugging through odd time signatures and epic choruses and keeping it catchy and listenable while also showing off their technical prowess' . On 9th February 2024 the album was released through Amputated Vein Records and Earache Records Digital Distribution.

On 11th June 2025 the band releases 'The Gate Unseen', a single track that sets a renewed sound for the band.
