IATT

Formed in the heart of Philadelphia in 2008, IATT (pronounced “eye at”) has carved a distinctive place in extreme metal with their alchemical blend of black, death, and progressive styles, colored by influences from jazz, folk, blues, and classical music. Renowned for their genre-defying approach, the band has built a reputation for vast thematic depth and fearless experimentation.

In the fall of 2024, IATT retreated to a secluded cabin deep in the mountains of Pennsylvania, where the band spent days fully disconnected from the outside world, immersed in the stillness of nature. They captured the voices of their surroundings – wind threading through the trees, calls of wildlife – and wove these field recordings into the heart of the music, letting the mountain breathe within the song’s composition.

The result is An Ode To Solace a raw, emotionally charged track born of isolation, instinct, and the unfiltered creativity of IATT. Accompanied by a performance-meets-intimate documentary style video filmed on location, the single offers a rare glimpse into IATT’s creative process, standing as both a tribute to the primal forces of the natural world and a bridge into the next chapter of their journey.
