Gypsy Wizard Queen is an American heavy-psych trio from Fargo, ND, delivering a potent blend of fuzz-driven stoner rock, doom-tinged grooves and expansive psychedelic atmosphere. Their music weaves between crushing riffs and slow, trance-like jams — never afraid to drift into bluesy swagger or swamp-heavy heaviness.
With Chris Ellingson’s raw guitar and vocals, Mitch Martin’s bass foundation and Chad Heille’s steady, immersive drumming, the band builds hypnotic soundscapes that feel both ancient and immediate. Starting from their 2022 self-titled debut, through to newer cuts like “The Keeper,” Gypsy Wizard Queen has carved out a space for themselves in the underground psych/doom-rock scene.
If you dig bands that merge Sabbath-era weight, stoner-rock groove and psychedelic soul, Gypsy Wizard Queen offers a dark, fuzzy and deeply immersive ride.
