Hailing from Tokyo, Godfrost is the solo industrial metal project led by Frost (formerly of the post‑grunge/gothic metal band Gods of Decay). Since debuting with a self-titled album on January 23, 2024, via Sliptrick Records, the project has drawn acclaim for its haunting fusion of heavy guitar, digital textures, and gothic melodies. Godfrost's sound is genre‑defiant—industrial, alternative, and post‑grunge coalesce in a dark, aggressive, and artful sonic tapestry.
Frost shares lead vocal and bass duties, while guest artists—including Yorke (programming), Kose (bass), and vocalists Luna Midnight, Emilypemly, and Sara—round out the atmospheric mix. The debut received excellent reviews, with tracks like “Metal Breakdown,” “Abnormal Sadness,” and the 2025 single “My Skin Begins to Burn” underscoring the project's dynamic intensity
