Blackwater Holylight

Blackwater Holylight formed in Portland in 2016 and have established themselves as a strong presence in the heavy underground, blending atmospheric moods with dense riffing and emotional intensity. Their sonic palette spans doom, psychedelia, shoegaze and sludge — what you might call “heavy but introspective”. For example, on their self-titled debut album they explore thick, slow grinding riff-structures paired with haunting vocals and swirling synth/organ textures.
