Athenesi

Athenesi is a modern metal band known for its powerful sound, intense melodies, and introspective lyrics. Founded in 2020 by Argentine multi-instrumentalist and composer Marco Espada, the project took shape during the pandemic, leading to the creation of their debut album, At The Beginning.

Released on October 21, 2022, At The Beginning was recorded across Marco’s home studio, Twilight Studio (Milan), and Midnight Studio (Bergamo), with technical assistance from Richard Meiz (Lacuna Coil) and producer Jean Manuel Albericci Origo. Anticipated by three singles—Beyond My Cell, Objection, and Inhale Insanity—each accompanied by visually striking music videos directed by Nicola Belotti, the album received widespread critical acclaim. Its fusion of aggression and emotion earned Athenesi a dedicated fanbase across North and South America, as well as outstanding reviews from European metal webzines.

In 2024, Athenesi continues to evolve, gearing up for their next album, set for release in 2025. On January 31, 2024, the band dropped the single Inside Myself, along with an official music video, marking a new creative phase in preparation for their upcoming European tour.

Athenesi has also secured key partnerships with industry-leading brands such as ENGL Amps, Solar Guitars, EMG Pickups, Tebb Drumsticks, and Skull Strings, further solidifying their presence in the modern metal scene.
